I'm Pedro Quispe Torrez, born in 1975 in a small town outside La Paz, Bolivia. I've been building instruments since I was 17: charangos above all, along with ronrocos, walaychos and a few wind instruments.
My workshop smells of hardwood and sounds like Andean music. It's where I combine inherited technique with an obsessive eye for detail to build concert charangos. To me each one is more than an instrument — it carries Bolivian tradition and the sound of the Andes.

Every instrument is strung, tuned and played before it ships. If it doesn't sing, it doesn't leave.
No production line. Woods chosen board by board, finishes worked by hand.
